Stay tuned for cancellations
When storms are in the forecast we will announce through various channels when the building will be closed.
Sundays – The Chair of Deacons and Rev. Emelia communicate closely before a storm and aim to make an announcement about cancellations as soon as a decision is reached. The latest possible cancellation would be at 7 AM on a Sunday (though, we hope to be able to make a decision by Saturday evening). Worship leaders (deacons, scripture readers, bells and choir) will be notified through an email/phone tree. The church Facebook, website, and a church-wide email will also be sent out.
Weekdays – The office is open from Monday – Thursday from 10 AM – 1 PM. If the office needs to close due to inclement weather, it will be shared on Facebook. You may also email office@churchofreading.org, as Samantha and Rev Emelia often work from home when that happens.
Weekday or Weekend Programs – if there is an event planned that isn’t on a Sunday (for example, Ash Wednesday or Lent Soup Supper), we will announce through E-News, Facebook, and the church website at least 2 hours before the event is scheduled (if not sooner).
