Our responsibility in caring for the world is as important as how we care for one another inside our church community.  We support a wide range of mission partners – local and worldwide, leveraging their expertise and understanding of needs.

Proceeds from our annual Olde Redding Faire benefit local mission partners, which have included the Reading Food PantryMission of Deeds, and the Mass. Department of Children and Families

We are supporters of the Reading Food Pantry, which helps feed our local community.

We have had a long standing relationship with Emmaus in Haverhill, which helps people rebuild their lives through emergency shelters, affordable housing, job training.

We share God’s love through our support of common cathedral (Ecclesia Ministries), an outdoor congregation, for both housed and un-housed.  We also collect new white socks for the Outdoor Church in Cambridge

We are a long time supporter of City Mission Society, a social justice agency that serves the urban poor of metropolitan Boston.

Each year we provide buckets to Church World Service with all the supplies needed to clean up after a disaster. A cooperative Christian ministry, CWS provides sustainable self-help, development, disaster relief, and refugee assistance around the world.

We provide financial support for Habitat for Humanity, an ecumenical Christian movement dedicated to eliminating poverty with housing, and to Heifer International which works to end hunger and poverty around the world by providing livestock and training.

As a member congregation of the Southern New England Conference of the United Church of Christ we support local programs for ministers, local and youth resources.
