We are excited to announce the next Capital Campaign project, Church Façade Repair.
Here is a summary of the scope of work:
Repair/replace stone lintels, flashing, stone heads, sills, install sealant around bulkhead, spot point masonry, point steps, point sidewalls, repair displaced stone on steps, patch damaged stone, point entryway stone mortar joints, refinish doors, repair entryway canopy, spot point masonry around call box, spot point wing wall, inspect capstones/flashing on East and West sides of transept and advise church of issues discovered, and apply penetrating sealer to stone masonry at main entrance.
The contractor, Building Restoration Services, plans to start work in early July and complete it in mid-August. Most of the work will be focused on the front of the church building, but they will be repairing and sealing other areas of masonry as well. Overall cost for this project is $151,425. It will be great to watch these improvements being made to our beloved building. Roof repairs are a little harder to admire!
