Let’s Talk, our monthly conversation group, meets on Tuesday, April 9th, at 1:30 PM in the Parlor. All are welcome to join in the conversation.
Women ‘n Stitches meets Tuesday, April 9, at 7:15 in Rm 17. Join us as we continue to work on simple dresses for the Dress a Girl Around the World charity. Nine dresses are completed and several more kits are in progress.
All materials, sewing machines and instruction are available. You may also take a dress kit home to sew at your leisure. We also sew quilts for charity.
Yarning to Care meets on Monday, April 22, at 1PM in the Parlor. All are invited to join our friendly group of fiber artists. Work on a personal project or a prayer shawl for ill and bereaved church members or a baby blanket for baptism babies. Materials and instruction can be provided for knit or crochet patterns. Or just join us for good conversation! Yarning to Care meets regularly on the fourth Monday of the month.

Palm Sunday, March 24
- Sunday Worship at 10am: Join us as we celebrate Palm Sunday with the Handbell Ensemble and “The Palms.” Join us as we enter into Holy Week together.
- Free Performance of Godspell at 2pm. This cast includes familiar faces from our own Chancel Choir, John Lee, and Orchestra! Join us here in the sanctuary this afternoon for the first program in a new “Sanctuary Arts Series” partnering with local arts and culture groups to present free arts programming here in our historic downtown sanctuary. A free-will donation will be accepted to benefit Creative Arts.
Maundy Thursday Dinner & Worship Service, March 28
- 6 PM in the Dining Hall there will be a Soup Supper before the service. Come any time during the hour (if you can’t arrive exactly at 6).
- 7 PM there will be a service in Guild Hall remembering the story of the Last Supper & Christ’s arrest and betrayal in the garden.
- 8 pm – Hallelujah Chorus Rehearsal. The choir will be singing the “Hallelujah Chorus” from Handel’s “Messiah” on Easter Sunday. If you’d like to sing with us on Easter, you will only need to commit to one rehearsal! Contact Chad or the church office to get involved.
Good Friday Service at Old South
- There will be a service held at Old South United Methodist Church across the street at 7 pm for anyone seeking a Good Friday service.
Easter Sunday
- On Sunday, March 31, at 10 AM we celebrate the Resurrection of Christ with brass, choir, and Hallelujah chorus. An Easter Egg Hunt for children will be held after church rain or shine (on the lawn or downstairs in case of rain).

Only 1 Rehearsal – March 28
The choir will be singing the “Hallelujah Chorus” from Handel’s “Messiah” on Easter Sunday (March 31). If you’d like to sing with us on Easter, you will only need to commit to one rehearsal which will take place AFTER the Maundy Thursday Worship Service on Thursday, March 28th. The worship will be from 7-8pm and then we will gather in the Music Room to rehearse the “Hallelujah Chorus”. Please email Rev. Chad to let him know you plan to come so we have enough music for you!

“Prepare ye the way of the Lord!” Members of our church & community are leading this sing-along concert & production of Stephen Schwartz’ Godspell in our church sanctuary with Creative Arts. The abbreviated show will be about an hour in duration, and admission is free (free-will donations will be accepted).

Church Families Night Out
Families are invited to gather on Sunday, March 10 from 4:30-6 PM downstairs in Pilgrim Hall (enter Town Hall door or Sanborn Street ramp and go down the stairs near the ballet studio) for a “Sunday School” type activity (story and craft or a game), a potluck dinner, and some supervised playtime (so parents can also get to know each other!).…
