Suggested Wedding Hymns

Hymns of praise, thanks and petition for continuing love and providence are appropriate for weddings. Read the verses of the hymns you are considering to see if they express what you wish to pray in song at your wedding. The criterion for selection should also be how well known and "singable" a hymn will be for those who are attending the wedding. Our church also uses the Pilgrim Hymnal, and either is available for you to borrow to look over the hymns. The pastor and organist will assist you in your selection, and there are hymn web sites to which you can refer. Some of these hymns may be appropriate should you have a soloist for your wedding.
