Chancel Choir
Each worship service at the church is enhanced and highlighted by the talented voices of our chancel choir. The men and women of the choir bring their vocal talents to a wide range of inspiring musical selections. Under the leadership of our Music Director and Organist, the offerings of hymns and anthems – both traditional and contemporary – inspire us and are an integral part of the richness of our services.

Instrumental Music
In addition to organ music, our church members regularly offer their musical gifts by providing special instrumental music for worship services. The First Congregational Church is fortunate to have members and friends who enthusiastically share their instrumental abilities including flute, guitar, brass and strings.

Hymns
At every service, the congregation is invited to sing hymns from our hymnals that accent and help weave the story on a particular Sunday. The Church uses two hymnals: the Pilgrim Hymnal, a collection of time-honored songs and the New Century Hymnal, a modern book of classic and recently composed hymns.

Hand Bell Choir
Regularly, the church is fortunate to benefit from the melodious sound and synchronized precision of our Bell Choir. The Bell Choir Director conducts the talented and enthusiastic “Ringers” whose music fills the church sanctuary with this unique sound on certain Sunday mornings.

Music Programs for the Young
Children in Kindergarten through grade 2 are encouraged to sing with the "K-2 Singers" a group that meets regularly to sing. Juniors in grades 3-5 and Youth in grades 6-12 participate separately in a segment based program throughout the year, where they have the opportunity to learn to play the handbells, learn to sing together in a group, and experiment with playing other instruments, or singing in a small group or solo. All music programs for young people offer their gifts in Sunday worship on occasion.
