At the First Congregational Church of Reading, our social groups gather regularly for fellowship — a chance to interact with other members and friends. The following are a few the groups and activities that provide fellowship opportunities within our congregation.

Coffee Hour
Each week after the worship service, church members and friends have the opportunity for fellowship, meeting downstairs for coffee and conversation — a chance to meet new people and greet old friends. Join us this Sunday at coffee hour and introduce yourself to our friendly church members.
Congregational Women’s Fellowship
The mission of CWF is to promote sociability, to encourage involvement in the work of the church. This fellowship group also unites the women in Christian fellowship and the endeavors of the worldwide community. The group gathers for at least four events annually. Circles are smaller groups within CWF, which typically meet at members’ homes once a month.

Congo Club
Typically for church members and friends in their twenties, thirties and forties both with children and without. It is the opportunity for people to become better acquainted, to enlarge a sense of community and to have fun. Monthly activities are chosen by common consent with varied activities may include a hayride, game night or a visit to a nearby point of interest. Click her for a list of Congo Club events

Thee Gang
This group of singles and couples gather for fun and sociability typically on the second Saturday of each month. The group is open to all who are looking to enjoy the company of others through monthly outings such as a Charles River cruise, bowling, golfing, cookouts and many other fun activities.

The Monday Nighters
A social group meeting monthly from October through May on the first Monday of each month. This group typically for retired church members and friends interested in sharing time in a social gathering such as a potluck supper, followed by a musical program, travelogue or public-life speaker.
